The Network of Home Education was formed in May 2001 with the goals of helping families get started in home education, supporting families once they are up and running, getting relevant information out to families and keeping area home educators connected with each other.

Below is a list of benefits available to members of NHE

  • NHE's invaluable E-mail discussion loop
  • Monthly “Spirit Builder Mom’s Night” (to be announced on the loop)
  • Membership available at Leaders Credit Union
  • Discount available for Homeschool Legal Defense Association
  • Contact information for area co-ops, tutorials, and fieldtrip activities
  • Teacher discounts available at area bookstores and Educational stores
  • Yearly achievement testing using Standford Achievement
  • Workshops and curriculum forums offered throughout the year
  • an email address - ________@networkofhomeeducation.net ... this is one per family, but still working out the kinks! :)

A personalized membership card The card acts as a homeschooler ID and has been recognized for education discounts by many businesses.

A Student Driver's I.D. card This is a card for your teen-age driver to have with them for Identifying themselves as a Home Schooler. Contact Phyllis L or Phyllis B to obtain your card for
your driver.

A Discussion Loop or News only loop through yahoo

A Calendar to keep up with all NHE events

None of these items are available separately. These items are only available to current members.

The cost for membership is $20 per year. These costs defray NHE expenses.
